Hear from people who have experienced hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
at Iowa HBOT and with OxyHealth:
“HBOT treatments have greatly increased my quality of life. I was diagnosed with Toxic Encephalopathy in November 1999. My complaints included Chronic Fatigue and Cognitive problems. Prior to the treatments, I was limited to about 2-3 hours of restricted activity. After the treatments, this has been enhanced to 4-5 hours. Also, after a couple of hours of rest, I am just as refreshed as when I first awake in the morning—which was not possible before the treatments.”

“Hi. My name is Maude Feil and I have owned a home hyperbaric chamber for almost a year now. I moved to Los Angeles from Aspen, Colorado back in 1980, but frequently go back to ski, hike, and to see old friends. Usually when I start hiking, I experience extreme breathlessness, and at some point—at 10,500 feet or so—a sadness comes over me. Also, the light and mountains take on a twinkly quality—not uncomfortable, just a bit otherworldly.
This past summer after using the chamber for at least 1 month (for numerous treatments), I took it to friends in Aspen. The day after I arrived I went hiking up to Lost Man, at the top of Independence Pass, which is at 11,000 feet. I laughed all the way. There was a little stopping for air, NO twinkly lights, NO sadness—just the clarity of the beautiful blue sky and mountains. It was glorious. Then, on the way back down, no need for a nap, plenty of energy for going out to dinner, and then at night fast to SLEEP. I used to have to take Excedrin PM™ to sleep because of the altitude. No more.
The next morning I took another hike, which was longer than usual, and I felt great. My being oxygenated at altitude was amazing, and I so want to share this with people going skiing and hiking who get sick. At sea level, I feel calmer, and I can breathe deeper. The friends I have referred to hyperbarics can run farther, and feel more energy.”

“Scott and Gerri Williams’ two young children, Sydney and Austin, were both diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, and Austin with Autism. These parents were slowly losing their children and were watching life drain out of them. One year later, Austin and Sydney are different children with an optimistic prognosis. What caused this dramatic transformation? A therapy

“I have been using a hyperbaric chamber for almost one year now and have been experiencing some excellent outcomes with my surgical patients. Initially I was using the chamber in my Aesthetic and Anti-Aging clinic, but found it to be an excellent modality for post-operative healing. My laser resurfacing and face-lift patients heal at least 50% faster when I incorporate hyperbaric therapy. I am also having excellent outcomes with sclerotherapy patients.
Although I was reluctant to incorporate hyperbaric into my practice, I must thank you as hyperbarics is an excellent addition to my practice. If you have any physicians questioning the efficacy of hyperbarics, please have them contact me to discuss questions they may have.”
